Privacy Policy — Blockulator
Blockulator is a children's learning calculator. You type a number, the app says it out loud, and pressing = drops a pile of colorful 3D blocks.
Data We Collect: Anonymous Usage Only
- No personal data. Blockulator does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information — no names, no email addresses, no location, no device identifiers, no contacts, and no photos.
- Anonymous usage statistics only. When Blockulator can reach the internet, it sends a small anonymous event to our own self-hosted analytics server (
analytics.leadersandco.com) — the app starting, and later, which features were used (for example, whether = was pressed). These events contain no personal data, no number your child typed, and no device ID that follows them across sessions. - First-party only. We are the app's developer. No data is shared with any third party, and there are no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs anywhere in the app.
- No ads. Blockulator is ad-free, now and going forward.
- No accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profile.
Speech & Text-to-Speech
When you tap the number field, the number is pronounced using your phone's built-in text-to-speech engine, entirely on your device. The number is never sent to a server, and no audio ever leaves your device. If your device has no TTS voice installed, tapping the field simply does nothing — no data is requested or sent.
Network Access
All calculator features work completely offline — the number, the speech, and the blocks never need an internet connection. The only network traffic Blockulator ever makes is the anonymous usage event described above, sent over HTTPS to our self-hosted analytics server. If the app cannot reach that server, it simply drops the event and keeps working; nothing is stored on the device to send later.
Permissions
Blockulator requests only the internet permission (Android), which it uses exclusively for the anonymous usage events above. It requests no microphone, camera, storage, location, or contacts access, and on iOS it requests no permissions at all.
Data Storage & Deletion
Anonymous usage events are kept on our own servers. Because they contain no personal data, they cannot be linked to you or your child. If you would like any stored events removed, contact us and we will delete what we hold.
